Reiki is a Japanese healing practice transmitted through initiation, teaching, and direct experience. In the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition, Reiki is understood as universal life energy, received and shared through the hands to support the natural process of healing.
A Reiki session is simple. The practitioner places their hands gently on or over the body and allows Reiki to flow. There is nothing the recipient needs to perform, understand, or believe. The experience may be deeply restful, subtle, emotional, or difficult to put into words.
This simplicity is part of Reiki’s depth. We do not direct Reiki or decide what needs to be healed. We create the conditions, offer the practice, and allow Reiki to meet the person where they are.
My Reiki practice is rooted in Usui Shiki Ryoho, a tradition passed from teacher to student through initiation, teaching, and continued practice. I have practiced Reiki for more than sixteen years and am a seventh-generation Reiki Master in a direct lineage from Dr. Mikao Usui.
For me, lineage is not simply a credential or a record of who taught whom. It carries a responsibility to receive the practice with respect, live with it, and pass it on without losing its essence.
Reiki has continued to deepen alongside my own life and healing work. While my understanding of it has evolved through experience, I remain grounded in the practice and teachings I received from my master.
Lineage gives the practice roots; experience allows it to remain alive.
People come to Reiki for many reasons. Some seek deep rest and restoration, while others come during periods of stress, emotional difficulty, transition, or when they simply feel disconnected from themselves.
Reiki can support a process of physical relaxation, emotional release, energetic rebalancing, and greater inner clarity. Many people experience a session as an opportunity to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with parts of themselves that may be difficult to access in everyday life.
The experience is different for each person. Reiki does not require us to identify what is “wrong” or decide in advance what needs to change. The practice meets us where we are, allowing healing to unfold in its own way and at its own pace.
Reiki can be received as a healing treatment or learned as a practice to carry into your own life.
Individual Reiki Sessions offer a quiet, held space to receive Reiki without needing to do or achieve anything. Sessions may support deep rest, restoration, emotional processing, and energetic balance.
Reiki Level I is an initiation into healing through the hands, with self-treatment at the heart of the practice. Students begin developing their own relationship with Reiki and learn to offer Reiki to themselves and others.
Reiki Level II expands the practice beyond physical presence. Students learn distant healing and working energetically with relationships, situations, and experiences across time and space. Through the traditional Reiki symbols and practices, we develop ways to communicate, process, and work with what is present at an energetic level.
Initiation is not the completion of a course. It is the beginning of a lifelong relationship with Reiki.
